L’Ost is a hostel for young people of all ages: groups, families, couples and lone travellers.

It is located in Grumes, in the municipality of Altavalle, which is in the Alta Val di Cembra. Just a stone's throw from Cavalese, Val di Fiemme's historical town, and 30 minutes from Trento.

Grumes has 450 inhabitants and stands at an altitude of 850 m surrounded by centuries-old forests, rivers and hiking trails to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. It's a place to escape from the chaos of day-to-day life, where the pace of life slows to a rural rhythm and mountain values are strong and deeply rooted.

The name “L’OST” represents both the type of accommodation (the h-ost-el) and the name of the two porphyry stones (slabs) emerging horizontally from the mountainside above the village, “lost grant” (big slab) and “lost piciol” (small slab): a place where generations of children have spent hours playing in the open air. And of course, “lost” in English means just that: lost, missing. L’Ost is a place to lose yourself, a refuge from the frenzy of daily life, where you can enjoy a rural pace of life and appreciate the value of those little things we often overlook.
